Her business, Staging Chicago, gives properties on the market a professional boost by changing the design, lighting, color or furniture to attract potential buyers. But whether she’s helping home owners sell their urban dwellings or designing rooms for clients such as former White Sox player Lance Johnson and Genesis guitarist Daryl Stuermer, Krakora knows that the elements of good design are more important than the number of zeros on the price tag. “Function should be your first concern,” she says.
