But visitors looking to pack up that carefree island feel and adapt it to their home might need more than just a trinket or two — they’ll need to transplant a complete decor. Nantucket, an island 30 miles off the coast of Massachusetts’ Cape Cod, is a place rich in whaling and Quaker history. Yet due to its everchanging and typically affluent summer residents, Nantucket constantly adapts to comfort its modern inhabitants. Still, one thing is constant out here in the Atlantic — the weather. “They call Nantucket the Grey Lady because you get a lot of gray sky,” says Laura Harris, a Boston-based designer who does a lot of P R AT T & L A M B E R T
